NGC 945

Like huge eddies in a great celestial sea, these two galaxies swirl undisturbed in the constellation of Cetus. NGC 945 (the larger of the two) is one of main galaxies in a sparse group in this direction of sky. These galaxies are estimated to be over 150 million light years away. In the past NGC 945 has sported a supernova that was detected by astronomers.

Luminance = 80 minutes binned 1x1
 Red = 20 minutes binned 3x3
 Green = 20 minutes binned 3x3
 Blue = 40 minutes binned 3x3
