Caelum Observatory will promote public outreach in astronomy and offer premier access to the universe
for the amateur community. With the ever increasing ubiquity of light polluted skies, the observatory and its programs will educate the public on the dwindling windows of dark night skies. Inspiration and
appreciation of this endangered natural resource will be achieved through unique stargazing programs,
advanced observing opportunities, and special events or workshops.
"Caelum", pronounced Kye'lum, is the Latin word for "sky."
