The Andromeda Galaxy
Wouldn't it be nice if we could step over to our galactic neighbor and ask for a cup of sugar? What wonderful
vistas and strange new places would we see? From our relatively close vantage point, in galactic terms, of
two million light years distant- our imagination stirs at the profuse display of color and light.
For another interesting comparison, the
extent of the galaxy on the sky is MUCH larger than the moon! This image was also choosen as an APOD!
