Sky Signs
Few things embrace the character of the Southwest and Arizona more than the ancient sun-signs of
petroglyphs
carved into weather-worn and sun-bleached rocks. These symbols portray reverence of the sky and the Sun's life
sustaining journey across it. Where else but in the southwest could a native peoples, like the Tohono O'odham,
transform this solar synchronocity into a
personal journey through life? Like a man in a spiral maze, we travel
through the ever-changing course of daily experience. This nebula appears to be of a similar form writ large on the sky.
